If you have factory reset your Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and cannot remember the Google account that was previously signed in, you are locked out by Factory Reset Protection (FRP). This guide shows you how to bypass FRP on Android 16 with One UI 8 — no computer required.
What is FRP Lock?
Factory Reset Protection activates when you add a Google account and then perform a factory reset. The device asks you to verify the previously synced Google account before allowing access. FRP activates after: factory reset from Recovery Mode, hard reset via button combination, remote wipe through Find My Device, or Odin flash with CSC.
Method 1: Official Google Account Recovery
Before trying any bypass, try the official route. Enter the Gmail address on the FRP screen. If you forgot the password, tap Forgot password and follow Google's recovery process.
Method 2: FRP Bypass via Keyboard Trick
Step 1: Reach the Wi-Fi Screen
Power on, select language, connect to Wi-Fi. The phone shows the Google account verification screen.
Step 2: Open Keyboard Settings
Tap the email input field to bring up Samsung keyboard. Tap the Settings gear icon on the keyboard toolbar.
Step 3: Access Browser via Settings
In Samsung Keyboard settings, scroll down and tap About Samsung Keyboard. Look for any hyperlink like "Privacy Policy." Tap it to open the browser.
Step 4: Download and Install FRP Bypass APK
In the browser, download a Google Account Manager APK and FRP bypass utility APK. Install both. Open the FRP bypass tool — sign in with any Google account. Restart the device. FRP should be cleared.
Method 3: Emergency Call + Dialer Codes
On the FRP screen, tap Emergency Call. Dial #0# or *#*#4636#*#* to access diagnostic/testing menu. Navigate to Settings → Accounts → Add Account → Google. Add a new account and restart.
Method 4: FRP Bypass via Talkback
Triple-tap to activate Talkback. Draw an "L" shape to open the context menu. Navigate to Talkback Settings → find a Privacy Policy link → open browser → download bypass APK.
After FRP Bypass
Go to Settings → Accounts and remove the temporary Google account. Add your own account. Set up a new screen lock.
Troubleshooting
Keyboard settings icon not visible: Long-press comma key or globe icon. Try switching keyboard language.
Browser does not open: Firmware may have patched this. Use a PC-based method with Odin combination firmware.
APK installation blocked: Enable "Install from unknown sources" when prompted.
FRP reappears after reboot: Google account was not fully synced. Repeat and wait 5 minutes before restarting.
Important: This guide is for device owners locked out of their own phone. Bypassing FRP on a stolen device is illegal.
